FAQs
Do you accept insurance?
I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. However, if you are covered for out-of-network benefits with your insurance provider I can submit those claims on your behalf.
What should I expect during a consultation?
Think of consultations as a no pressure meet and greet where we can determine if this is a good match for working together. Here you will have the opportunity to discuss what you’re looking for and get an idea of my personality and style. I’m also happy to answer any questions you may have at this time.
What should I expect in the first session?
The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. I'll ask you about your needs and what brings you to therapy. While the first few sessions may involve more questions than usual, please know that this isn't meant to feel intrusive. It's simply to help me get a well-rounded picture of who you are and your life experiences.
We'll also work together to establish goals you want to prioritize during our time together, making sure we're on the same page from the very beginning.
Can I use my HSA or FSA for therapy?
Yes — therapy is typically an eligible expense, and I can provide the documentation your plan may require.
Do you offer in-person or online sessions?
I currently provide virtual telehealth appointments for all clients. This means you can connect with me from anywhere in Virginia or Washington D.C.
How do I know if therapy is the right fit?
Finding the right therapist is a deeply personal choice. A good fit often comes down to feeling heard, understood, and comfortable. If, at any point, you feel that I am not the right person to help you, I can provide referrals to other professionals who may be a better match for your needs.
